Confirm that the fence is vinyl
Look for an invoice, product label or information from the installer. Tell the contractor if the fence has a textured finish, replacement panels or an added coating. If the material is unknown, say so. A deck cleaner or a method used on a neighbor's wood fence does not establish what is suitable for your panels.

Separate buildup from a change in the finish
A useful photo shows the green area beside an unaffected panel. Also report dullness, powder that already transferred during normal contact, paint, scratches or marks from an earlier cleaning. Bufftech identifies chalk accumulation as a possible weather-exposure condition. Do not assume every color difference is removable dirt or diagnose a growth from a photograph.
Take an overall view of the fence run and a close view of the affected panel.
Include an older photo if it shows when the appearance changed.

Check access and condition before the cleaning visit

Agree on the result and the included surfaces

Can I pressure wash any vinyl fence?
Do not choose a machine method from the material name alone. Identify the product and finish, check its care instructions and ask the assessor to account for panel condition. The manufacturer's guidance should govern the approach.
Will cleaning make a faded fence white again?
That should not be assumed. Ask which buildup the treatment is intended to remove and which color differences may remain. A discreet trial helps set an appearance goal before the whole fence is treated.
Does the estimate include both sides of the fence?
Confirm it explicitly, along with posts, caps and gates. Arrange access to the opposite side before including it in the work. Photos and approximate dimensions make the scope clearer.
Can cleaning fix a loose gate or leaning post?
Treat that as a separate repair question. Report the condition before the visit and ask an appropriate installer what needs correction. Do not assume a cleaning service includes structural or hardware repairs.
